The Popsicle was invented by an 11-year-old young kid named “Frank Epperson” on a freezing winter night in San Francisco in 1905. That winter, Frank Epperson had forgotten to bring his fruit flavored soda inside and had left a stir stick in it. When Frank returned, his drink had frozen with the stick inside of it and the frozen drink had tasted good.

He named this frozen drink ‘Epsicle’ with a combination of this name 1st letter and of an icicle, and started selling it. 18 years later, He applied for a patent for the ‘Epsicle’ ice pop in 1923. Later on, Epperson’s children urged him to change the ice pop’s name to pop’s sicle or Popsicle.

Oink-A-Saurus app is invented by 12-years old Fabian Fernandez Han. On January 11, 2010, Han became the winner of the NYSE Financial Future Challenge that was sponsored by the NYSE Foundation. Fabian was awarded the prize money of $2,500 for his idea of the ‘Oink-A-Saurus’ app for Apple MP3 players. Oink-A-Saurus is an iPhone and iPad app to teach kids about finance, money management, investing and the stock market. It is a fun-filled learning application that can get kids interested in the stock-market.

Kidcare riding car is invented by the 6-years old Spencer Whale. He noticed that the sick children at the hospital could not do anything or have fun because of the IV attached to them. So, he developed the kid care riding car that has built-in IV. He has been inducted into the young Inventors of the National Gallery for America. Spencer created a rideable car with an attached IV pole so that sick kids could play safely and easily while receiving their medicine. Several children’s hospitals across the country now own kid care cars and trucks.
